Darkness Falls. A Poem by Michael Airic White Sr

I am the prince of darkness, for I uttered darkness and all that was true in the word I spoke was the light in darkness. I am the dragon with xeven heads for I slayed the beast and all that was left I consumed to myself. I tempted the temptress and then had my way with her. I bore fruit from ash as my father before me. I walk on both sides of the fire at Cherokee Pass and when the moon is full, i drink the red blood of the cup and do eat of the body. I raise up youth as if they were my body and my body shall live. I make my place among the dwelling of the clear night stars and there I rest wholly. Who am I if I am not Michael the prince of darkness clothed in wonderment?
